Project Home Page

Page Overview

The Project Home page serves as the main dashboard for a GForge project, providing users with a comprehensive overview of project activity, status, and key information. This page displays essential project details including the project description, team composition statistics, and real-time activity feeds. The page is organized into several main sections that give users quick access to the most important project information and tools.

The top section contains the project description and metadata, including project tags and category information. Below this are summary statistics showing the number of project leads, contributors, and total members. The main content area is divided into two columns: the left column focuses on project work items including tasks, issues, and build status, while the right column displays project activity charts and timeline feeds.

The Tasks & Issues section provides a tabular view of all project trackers, showing open items and assignments. Each tracker row displays the number of open items, items assigned to the current user, and action buttons for creating new items, viewing in Kanban format, or accessing administrative functions. The Builds section shows recent build activity with job names, build numbers, completion dates, and status indicators.

The Project Activity section includes both a graphical chart showing activity trends over selectable time periods and a detailed timeline of recent project events. The timeline displays various types of activities including tracker item updates, code commits, build completions, and sprint modifications, each with timestamps, user information, and brief descriptions. This comprehensive view allows project members to quickly understand current project status, recent changes, and areas requiring attention.
